Water: Is It Simply Just a Clear Liquid?

By Bendo13

Did you ever wonder about the simplest thing out there: water?

Like, why does it do what it does...

  • It can knock down buildings if there's enough of it...
  • The sound of slow trickling water soothes you and can put you to sleep...
  • When you're in the shower you're likely to sing (which I do or beatbox) but it seems to open your mind...

I've found myself starting a lot of poems in the shower and then repeating the lines over and over in my head so I can write it down when I get out.

Why Does Water Have Such an Effect On Our Minds?

Is it because we're composed of almost 70% water and it stirs up our cells?

Isn't it odd that the earth is about 70% water too? ...and things like a cloud or a watermelon are also about 70% water?

Is it really just liquid harmony pouring over us when we're in the shower? It just sets our mind in line and we can think clearly; we feel all relaxed and just feel altogether balanced.

Bruce Lee once said to "Be Water" ... water can flow or it can crash. When you put it in a cup, it becomes the cup... when you put it in a pot it becomes the pot... so be water, adapt and change to things.

We are mostly water, so we can always be more fluid in our daily lives. Now the phrase, "Go with The Flow" has a bit of a different meaning, doesn't it?

Messages From Water

There was a study done once by a Japanese man named Dr. Masaru Emoto.

He would take bottles of water and then on a peice of tape on the outside of the bottle he'd write words, or he'd just say some words or play music. Things like thank you or love & appreciation.

He was in a very cold room, ready with a powerful microscope to take photos of newly formed crystals on the frozen tap water then he noticed something... from normal tap water beforehand to after he had taped words onto it, said some words or played music all the molecules had changed and the shapes were different depending on what the word was.

Check out his books called "The Hidden Messages in Water" to get more details on this phenomenon.

Here's a couple samples so you can see what I'm talking about:

Now isn't that weird?

It can change into something completely different just from a few words or some music. Just like a few words can effect how we feel inside.

Do the words we hear daily change all the water molecules inside us? I'm beginning to think so.

Isn't it odd how much a word or a sound can change things in your daily life?

So what the hell is up with water?

It's just a clear liquid that everything needs to survive, right?

It's just that simple, right?

No... water is and does so many things and yet it's one of the most common things out there, you wouldn't think it'd be so complex.

Just makes you wonder about the other things out there that actually ARE more complex on the outside.  If something like water, which we find to be so simple, is actually this complex and mysterious then what do we really know about anything if we haven't figured water out yet!?

If you'd like you can watch the short video below for an interview with the man himself, Dr. Masaru Emoto. If you're not convinced, there's an experiment you can try at the end of the video

What Are YOUR Thoughts On Water?

It's true. Energy follows intent. During my massage training, I really noticed the difference between the Western approach in Swedish Massage (body as muscles, fascia, bone, etc) and Eastern perspective in Zen Shiatsu and Thai Massage... body as energy, as emotion, as xi. (Check out my hubs on the subject for more info.)

Yeah Maddie, I really enjoy the "Eastern" train of thought... Not being brought up in that area it's really interesting to see other perspectives.

Lynne McTaggart has written books about intent. She suggest we exist in a unity, a relationship - utterly interdependent; the parts affecting the whole at every moment...

I'll have to look into her books, dallas93444... there are so many people out there spreading good philosophies. I think we're all connected, more so than most think.

I just saw a documentary about someone hooking a lie detector to a plant and it actually reacting when stress levels were up in the room or when someone went to light a match to burn the plant. Interesting stuff!
