NOW AAKG 3500

NOW Foods is a very popular supplement company that has their own handy arginine alpha-ketoglutarate supplement.

You don’t have to deal with mixing powder into a drink; this supplement comes in tablets.

This takes the hassle out of supplementing with arginine and you can take it pretty much anywhere.

You can get a bottle of 180 tablets, which will come out to 60 servings per bottle.

So you’ll end up buying a new bottle every 2 months; not bad.

You have to take 3 tablets per serving but you’ll get a nice dosage of 3.5 grams of arginine alpha-ketoglutarate with each serving.

You can save a little money, while giving up a little convenience, if you’d like to go with Olympian Labs’ arginine alpha-ketoglutarate supplement.

It comes in a 90 gram container, which will come out to 30 servings per container. So you’ll have to buy a new container every month; still not that bad.

You’ll have to mix one scoop with 4 ounces of water to get a single serving of 3 grams of arginine AKG.

Not as quick as popping a pill but it’s a little cheaper to go this route.

Higher Power AAKG Powder

You can save even more money if you go with Higher Power’s arginine alpha-ketoglutarate powder. Sounds like it comes from God, doesn’t it?

This supplement comes in a 1.1 pound container, which will come out to 166 servings per container. So one container is going to last you longer than 5 months! This seems like a very inexpensive way to stock up on arginine.

You’ll have to mix 2 teaspoons with water or juice to get a single serving of 3 grams of arginine alpha-ketoglutarate.

Does A-AKG contribute to acne breakout?

For some it appears to, Edward... and for others it doesn't... but acne is caused by hormonal imbalances, right?

And from what I've shown, arginine can boost your growth hormone, which can then boost the big T which can definitely bring on the acne. But it all depends on how your body reacts to it, how much of an HGH boost it gives you and if it really puts you in a hormonal imbalance.

All I can suggest is to take it as you are told to on the bottle, don't over do it and don't take the max amount... and then keep an eye on your skin. If you start breaking out then lower your dosage and see if that was really the cause.

Acne can be caused by a number of things (anything from stress (you are stressing your body during exercise), not getting enough vitamins and your diet) so if the only thing you change in your life is taking A-AKG and you get acne... then it could be putting you in a hormonal imbalance.

But if you workout more, don't get into the shower right away, have sweat all over your body and then scrub your skin hard in the shower, change your diet or a number of other things... then perhaps the finger shouldn't be pointed at the arginine.

After two months of taking AKG, do you stop & then start again?

You only need to take a break if you're taking the highest dosage, Michael... which is 6 grams of STRAIGHT AKG (if it's in a mix of supplements you want to check how much AKG you're really getting). So, if you're only taking 3 grams a day, then there's no need to stop.

But if you are taking 6 grams a day, then take 2 or 3 weeks off it every couple months and you should be fine. Other people also cycle off it when they're not feeling as big of a "pump" from it anymore, and then in a couple weeks they start taking it again.
